How do I book an apartment?

You can choose between a "Room request" and direct booking via Internet using the "Online booking" function. Room requests are e-mailed directly to the hotel you have selected. The hotel will then send you a quote; by accepting this quote you make a firm reservation. The "Online booking" function lets you reserve the apartment you‘ve selected directly; your reservation will be confirmed immediately.

What is the minimum stay when booking an apartment?

The minimum stay varies from house to house. You can generally assume a minimum stay of between 3 and 30 days. The longer the stay, however, the more economical is the price per day.

How can I get a map to my apartment house?

Just click on the picture under "Location" in the "Detail view" of the hotel you have selected. This opens a route planner. Just enter your starting and ending addresses, and the route planner will take care of the rest. Most websites of apartment hotels also contain maps as well.

What happens if I unexpectedly do not need the apartment I‘ve reserved?

Depending on the house, there may be a cancellation fee, unless you have informed the hotel that you will not be coming within the cancellation period. Detailed cancellation conditions are listed in the "Detail view" under "Prices". Generally, the reservation confirmation also contains the respective cancellation conditions.

Do I pay a commission or service charge when I book an apartment?

No, the service on AppartementHotels.com is free of charge.

How flexibly (length of overall time) can I rent an apartment?

A minimum stay of between 3 and 30 days is usually required for renting an apartment. There are no limits in terms of length, although you must register with the German authorities after staying 3 months. Moving out is generally possible at any time.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

This varies from house to house. Please note the "Booking conditions" in the "Detail view" of the house you have selected under "Prices".

In which order are houses listed?

Houses are listed in alphabetic order - first individual houses, then chains.

Can I generally get the best prices on AppartementHotels.com?
Does AppartementHotels.com negotiate special conditions with individual houses?

Because the tendency in the hotel business is increasingly to offer uniform prices on all websites, normal standard rates must also be offered on AppartementHotels.com. Discounts are not agreed on with the houses. In response to your room request, the house in question sends you its current price based on the information you have given (date of arrival, length of stay, desired room category etc.). In our "Special Offers" section, however, you can find specials or packages offered by our partners.

Can the AppartemeentHotels.com website be integrated into special company Intranets?
How would that work?

Of course, our logo and a link to our portal can be integrated within a company Intranet in order that users come directly to our website and make the desired requests or bookings. In addition, starting in 2008, special prices for selected companies can also be set and used for online bookings. It is up to the respective company as to how/where our logo and link should appear. Can I also order a catalog with all houses?

No. Because we are solely an Internet portal, we have no call center to take bookings, and thus have no catalog. In addition, a catalog would never contain the latest, most current information, because we are always adding new partner houses to our portfolio.
