serviced apartments - extended stays AppartementHotels.com offers hotel rooms and apartments as well as many other services that make both short-term and long-term stays away from home - in Germany, Europe and worldwide - much more pleasant. In contrast to houses that are only hotels, our partners specialize in serving long-term guests. In addition to "normal" hotel services, they offer larger rooms with kitchenettes or kitchens that enable guests to look after themselves - and at more economical prices.

Serviced apartment and hotel - Concept

There are now many names for this apartment concept, which originated in the USA. Known as boarding houses, serviced apartments, apartment hotels or apartment residences, these all refer to accommodations designed for those needing long-term solutions.
Boarding houses differ from hotels in that they are economical, have flexible rental periods as well as provide rooms which can really be "lived in." In addition, all units listed on this site contain kitchens or kitchenettes which guests can use if they wish to cook for themselves.
The services provided can be adapted to your long-term needs and may range from typical hotel services such as reception, breakfast, wellness, etc. to such items as laundromats, mailboxes, shopping service and more, depending on the provider.

Hotel, Serviced or Private Apartment

To illustrate the differences among our partner houses, we have divided them into three categories.

  • Hotel Apartment ...more service is hardly imaginable!
    Hotel Apartments are classic hotels in all categories, which in addition to their normal hotel rooms, also have apartments with kitchens so that guests can cook for themselves.
    The hotel contains all other customary services - depending on its category - and often special services for long-term guests (such as in-house washing machines or breakfast roll and shopping services) as well. Generally, you have the choice of eating breakfast in the hotel or preparing your coffee in your room yourself. Likewise, you can usually choose how frequently you would like your room to be cleaned (from daily to once a week).
    The reception desk at the hotel is available at least 12 hours a day to answer your questions and take care of your needs.

  • Serviced Apartment ...only as much service as you desire and when you desire!
    In our boarding or apartment houses, you'll find comfortable Serviced Apartments with kitchens that offer you more flexibility than a normal hotel room.
    Apartment houses offer long-term guests special services that allow them more autonomy. This means, for example, that washers, driers and other household devices (such as microwaves, ironing boards and irons) are often available for a small fee. A restaurant or breakfast room is seldom available, so that you do not have the opportunity for booking breakfast.
    A contact partner is present in the apartment house or nearby, sometimes at a reception desk.

  • Private Apartment… Some service and the greatest possible independence!
    This category includes providers of different, completely furnished apartments (usually in actual residential buildings) that give you complete independence.
    The fully furnished apartments in varying sizes and city districts are your temporary home. The buildings have no restaurants and thus offer no breakfast. Generally, the apartment is not cleaned during your stay, and costs for final cleaning are charged - if desired, however, you can book additional interim cleaning services from the landlord.
    In a Private Apartment, you are more or less on your own, although during normal working hours, a reservation office is available to answer your questions, a contact partner is available in case of problems and the handover of the key is organized.
The individual criteria for the different categories are not always clear-cut, i.e. a 100% precise classification is not always possible. But we have tried to sketch out the differences as best we can. This way, you know in advance what to expect from an Apartment. We can assure you, however, that all colleagues in our partner houses will do their best to make you feel at home - no matter whether you are staying in a Hotel, Serviced or Private Apartment!
